GH17

GH17 is a water-soluble vinyl -carbamide based electrolyte polymer designed for woven labels. It can significantly reject most dyes if the label is to be further processed after finishing such as an acid wash, stone wash, etc. It is even resistant to many enzymes. It is a two-polymer system whereby the second polymer will exhaust into the fiber through heat on the drying cans. The finish leaves a medium hand and excels in good color retention. The cured film has the ability to soften when it undergoes further processing leaving the label with a softer hand however, still leaves a protective coating. GH17 withstands a Class 4 rating for repeated washings. It is also favorable to wet and dry crockfastness. The product can also be made crosslinked for added durability & greater dye resistance.

Application

To apply GH17, simply dilute with hot water to desired concentration. Typical starting point is 15% GH17 & 4% Resin G to 85% water. For enzyme processing it may be necessary to use 20% finish along with 4-5% Resin G. Increase roller pressure when using the product. Durability is increased as the finish is used in higher concentrations. The product should be prediluted with equal amounts of water.
