Compro 6312-60

Compro 6312-60 is a water-soluble, finishing agent designed to give many desirable properties to woven labels. It has very good durability and can give the label a medium to firm “hand” with outstanding, flexibility and body. Because of its low flame response the finish can withstand high heat and still maintain its shape reducing shrinkage. 6312-60 has good color stability, elasticity, low mark-off and has the ability to cure faster than other types of finishes. The product also reduces migration problems. A unique property of this product is its ability to hold excess dye in the yarn and not allow it to migrate through the finish, once applied. In other words, unlike many finishes, this product has NO affinity for excess dye in the yarn. Therefore, excess dye cannot penetrate the finish. Tensile strength is greatly increased and the finished label will endure an enhanced Class 4 rating as far as crockfastness and a Class 4 rating in color. No dimensional changes take place after launderings and dry-cleanings. It has excellent binding properties and can be used to seal edges with hot or cold knives.

Application

To apply 6312-60, simply dilute with warm water to desired concentration. A good starting point is 10-12%.
